GOD IS FOR YOU
If God is for us, who can be against us? What a question that is! Take a minute and let that sink in. Is there anyone against you right now? If there is someone who is, what feelings does that bring up inside of you? Maybe fear, anxiety, anger, sadness? Although your present situation is very real, the bigger reality is, despite of that opposition, God is still for you. And that doesn’t mean he’s just cheering you on from the sidelines. Him being for you means he has already justified you, that no one can condemn you, and that Jesus himself is interceding for you!
Compared to God’s infinite and eternal love, the things we face in this world are small. In fact, even death itself is not even detrimental. It is simply a transition into a better life and the door to everything God has promised us – and we don’t even have to fight for it.
Romans 8:31-39 is the powerful capstone to one of the most powerful chapters in the Bible. And, if we let it, it can help us define and live the life of freedom that God promised us from the very beginning. Living a Romans 8 life does not mean removing ourselves from the world, but instead that we can live a better life in the midst of it.
As you go through this week, read through these passages and let God’s word reveal new truths to you and let those truths set you free.
2 Corinthians 4:7-18
In your prayer time, take time to pray through these things…
God, where is there a place where you are working right now to elevate me above the challenges I am facing right now?
