Mother's Day 2026 –  God Still Moves Stones 

This message is framed around the story of Mary Magdalene the morning of Jesus’ resurrection. (John 20) In spite of her overwhelming grief, despite the stone that blocked access to Jesus’ tomb, Mary sought Jesus.

Even after finding the tomb empty, out of her deep devotion for Jesus, she continued to seek him. Listeners are encouraged to keep seeking Jesus no matter what. When we follow Mary’s example and glance at the “stone” in our lives but fix our gaze on Jesus, we can have joy and hope even while we wait on God.

Mary’s willingness to remain at Jesus’ tomb opened the door for an extraordinary encounter with Jesus. When we stay close to Jesus, tenaciously seeking him, He will reveal Himself to us—strengthening us, encouraging us, filling us with hope.
