Mountains - Week 1

Throughout human history, people have tried to create their own sacred mountains. One of the clearest examples of this is found in the story of the Tower of Babel. Today, we build our own “mountains” of success, wealth, approval, and pleasure, hoping they will satisfy us. Yet, no matter how much we achieve or accumulate, it never truly fulfills our deep longing. When we place our trust in anything other than God, those things become idols, and pursuing idols will ultimately lead to emptiness. The good news is that God is always with us, even when we cannot see him. The invitation for each of us is to surrender anything that has taken God’s place in our lives and rediscover the peace, purpose, and abundant life he has for us.
