What Have I Gotten Myself Into - A Movement that is Changing the World
From persecution to shipwrecks, nothing could stop the early church. What began with just a handful of people grew into a movement of hundreds, then thousands—spreading like wildfire until today, one-third of the global population identifies as Christian. But what made it so compelling? It wasn’t just their message—it was the way they lived.
The early Christians were known for their radical love—caring for the sick during plagues, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and actively participating in the ministry of Jesus. They cast out demons, healed the sick, and displayed a faith so genuine that even the Romans couldn’t deny its power. They were willing to suffer—even die—for what they believed.
Jesus declared that the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing since the time of John the Baptist. Yet here in America, it might not feel that way. Instead of growth, we often see decline. But the truth remains—God’s kingdom is never stagnant; it is always moving forward. People finding their way to Jesus, experiencing healing and reconciliation, lives changed, and communities transformed—this isn’t the exception; it’s the norm in God’s kingdom. And nothing can stand against it.
