What Have I Gotten Myself Into - Generosity

The early church grew rapidly as people all over Jerusalem came alive to God. At the heart of this explosive growth were two defining characteristics: unity and generosity. Despite differences of opinion, believers were united around the message of Jesus, and they practiced radical generosity. They saw their wealth not as their own but as something entrusted to them by God. Their unity and generosity turned the Roman world upside down and unleashed God’s power in miraculous ways.

Our generous Father blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. When we cling tightly to what he gives, we are living out of alignment with his character. Ultimately, generosity isn’t about money—it’s an act of worship that leads to freedom. Giving is a declaration that we trust God to be our provider. With every gift, we proclaim that it’s God—not money—who holds our hearts and leads our lives.
