I am experiencing feelings of discouragement in my faith lately. Recently, I have begun to see my children distancing themselves from the faith. My two sons are in college and one is studying the sciences, so I loved the series on the intersection of science and faith a few months ago. My daughter recently started middle school and Chapel students and has expressed that she wanted to take a break from Chapel students.

I have been taking my kids to the Chapel for 17+ years and have been practicing my relationship with Christ since they were born. I am disappointed that they are wanting some distance. I encourage myself with the Word that if continue to do good I will reap a harvest if I do not give up and that if I train my children up in the way that they should go when they grow up, they will never depart from it. Still, I cannot help the feeling of discouragement. My husband is also agnostic and so this may play into their questioning. Can you please pray for me in this season and for my children – two sons and a daughter and for my husband.

I really need a prayer for my family and I. We’re on the brink of being homeless. I started a business, and it hasn’t taken off the way it needed to. Bills are barely getting paid, and I feel like no matter how hard I work, things keep getting harder for us. I just want to know that everything will be okay.

My husband and I have had differing spiritual views for quite some time now, even though we were saved around the same time. We did at some point in our early marriage have the same beliefs. But it’s been many years since that time.

Anyway, just recently he told me that he believes in God but does not believe in Jesus. Honestly I just don’t know what to do with that information. I’m very conflicted on how to move forward from that.

Please lift up my son in your prayers. He left for the military on 8/19/25 and is in boot camp. His dream, passion, and goal is to serve our country in the special forces (the contract he joined with).

As he advanced through the first week, he has been told he has to meet with the medical department tomorrow (Monday) for further evaluations (coughing) and that there is a chance he may not move forward with his current contract. Alternative options MAY be offered if he is medically excused, or he may be offered a lesser contract (nothing like the one he currently has and could be jobs like a cook, MP, maintenance, etc).

We need prayer warriors to pray for a clear path for him to advance through his medical screenings tomorrow and also to keep his heart strong and faithful. He has his Bible and I pray that he finds strength and encouragement in Gods Word when he is unable to speak to us or hear from us (no phones).

He wants special forces – or nothing. I think he would chose to come home if he can’t keep the contract he signed on with. Pray for my boy please

Dear Lord, my adult son is currently in a psychiatric hospital. Please open his eyes to the work he needs to do and open his heart to accept you into his life. Comfort him and let him know that we love him and we look forward to seeing him soon. Help him understand your healing power and the power of forgiveness and repentence.

Please pray over the next several weeks as someone I know has surgery on Aug. 28th. Please pray for her peace of mind and a speedy recovery. Please pray that the surgery goes well and that she will experience little pain. Thank you. Also, continue to pray for two weeks after the surgery that she will not have any complications.

My friend’s granddaughter was diagnosed with a fast growing brain tumor. They don’t know yet if it is benign or not. She will have an operation this week and the tumor is located in a tricky place in the brain. This surgery could result in memory loss. She was planning to start college this month. Please pray for her healing and strength/guidance for her family. There has also been a lack of reconciliation in her immediate family. Pray that the family can unite and provide a wall of support for this girl. My friend is agnostic although her son is a believer. I have prayed for this family often. Thank you.

A prayer Request for our very special needs daughter with a rare genetic condition that had affected her lung arteries (in addition other health problems) She is 5 years old and we now live in CA and we are requesting an exemption from the Medi-Cal HMO to get her in the Traditional Medi-cal Plan only offered to special cases for complex conditions. Since we live a few counties away from Stanford Childrens we had to request a Temporary exemption from the standard Managed Care county-based Medi-Cal HMO, since her complex Pulmonary Stenosis can only be maintenanced by Stanford Childrens as she grows due to the complex procedure they performed on her that was developed by them. Please pray that the doctor has wisdom to provide the right information needed to qualify for the exemption and for the Medi-Cal decision makers to have favor on our special needs daughter and grant her the exception. You all prayed last year and we got a 12 month exemption, but we hear it is harder to get another 12 months, it looks like they are asking for more detailed medical information. Thanks for praying.
