More Than Free: Desperation that Invites Rescue

As Moses flees Egypt and begins a life of his own, Israel remains in slavery. In their oppression, they cry out to God. In His goodness, God hears, remembers His covenant, and takes up their cause. This story shows that when we invite God into our pain and recognize Him as our only way out, we make space for His rescue right where we are.
