The Good Life - Part 4

God’s definition of “good” runs much deeper than ours. We often think of “good” as being nice, successful, or morally upright. But when God first called creation “good,” He wasn’t describing perfection; He was describing order. Everything worked as He designed it to, flourishing under His rule. Humanity reflected His goodness by living with Him and like Him. But when people began deciding for themselves what was good, everything fell out of alignment.

That’s why Jesus came: to restore order and make things whole again. Every miracle, healing, and act of forgiveness was a glimpse of creation working as God intended. When we pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done,” we’re not just reciting words; we’re aligning ourselves with heaven’s design. Prayer isn’t about convincing God to do what we want—it’s about letting Him reshape our hearts so that what we want begins to match His will. It’s the humble posture that says, “Father, I don’t know what’s best—but You do.”

The invitation is simple but profound: start with honesty. Acknowledge what’s not good in your world, your relationships, and your heart, and bring it to God. Ask Him for His perspective and His heart. Then allow him to change you and realign your thoughts and prayers under His kingship through revelation, presence, and breakthrough.

Revelation – When we see Jesus clearly and let the gospel shape us.
Presence – Finding God in the chaos and responding with prayer.
Breakthrough – Praying heaven’s order into earth’s chaos. Asking, “God, what do You want to do here?”—and then joining Him.
