Things Jesus Never Said -  The World Says, "Do Not Judge"

“Do not judge.” It sounds like something Jesus said, and technically, He did. But He never meant it the way we often use it: You can’t question me. You can’t tell me I’m wrong. Just mind your own business. In Matthew 7, Jesus gives us a very different picture. He describes someone trying to remove a speck from another person’s eye while a plank is sticking out of their own. The problem isn’t that they noticed the speck. Jesus wants the speck removed too. He just tells us to deal with our own plank first. Before we point out what is broken in someone else, we invite God to examine what is broken in us.
