Things Jesus Never Said -  The World Says, "God just wants you to be happy." Jesus Says, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness."

“God just wants you to be happy.” It sounds almost true. Scripture is full of reminders that God loves us, cares for us, provides for us, and desires joy and abundant life for us. The problem is the word just. It quietly makes our happiness God’s highest priority—and Jesus never promised that. In Matthew 6:25–33, Jesus tells us not to be consumed with worry about our everyday needs. Our Father knows what we need and cares for us. But then Jesus redirects our attention: “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.” God cares deeply about our lives, but He is also inviting us into something much bigger than ourselves.
